The process of watch restoration and repair is very lengthy and demanding of precision. We take all the more care with luxury clock models, which often cost tens of thousands of euros. For our customers, however, we are able to provide luxury service at affordable prices that are many times lower than the prices in authorized service centers.
By default, the clock repair process is carried out in the following steps:
Case inspection - the watchmaker visually inspects the case of the watch to rule out any mechanical external damage.
Inspection of the movement - after disassembling the clock, we visually and mechanically check the functionality of the movement, which forms the heart of every clock.
This is followed by a complete disassembly of the movement during which we inspect the bearings, gearing, prongs, inertia, and so on.
Once we have the movement disassembled, it's also time to replace the winding string, which we always put in a new one.
Even before we take the machine apart, we wash and rinse the various parts via ultrasound to make sure everything is perfectly clean.
This is followed by a final check of the bearings, assembling the machine and adjusting the run control. Once set, we let the clock run for 24 to 36 hours, after which we check the accuracy of the running and winding again.
Finally, we replace all the seals. The clock and case are then resealed and ready for the final pressure test.
